Madera County

    Madera County is located in the northwest side of Fresno County.  Comprised of primarily grape vineyard and natural pastures, this county is home lot a lot of suburban housing.  There are only four major towns in Madera County: Madera, Chowchilla, Coarsegold, and Oakhurst, with Madera being the largest at 50k people.

    There are multiple attractions in the county for visitors.  The front gate to Yosemite National Park lies in Madera County.  Bass lake is only a few minutes away from Oakhurst, along with plent of camp grounds.  In the valley, Madera County homes a multitude of vineyards where tuorists can go wine tasting.
